As a salute to our natural resources, we designed the Chattanooga Rock Wall. It is located in the heart of the newly unveiled terminal at the Chattanooga Airport's Tailwinds Bar. Spanning 27 feet across the primary wall, this 160 acoustic louver installation is as much a work of art as it is a functional sound reducer. It absorbs 125% of the sound sent to this area, allowing for a peaceful atmosphere while creating geometric motion as you pass by.
Made from 60% post-consumer water bottles, it is not only a salute to our community, it performs a meaningful role in the sustainability of our planet. "We diverted 4,770 water bottles from the landfill on this one project. We are genuinely honored to have been involved in this project in the heart of our hometown airport. Every aspect of design, fabrication, and assembly was all done right here in our local community.", says Jon Chadwick, CEO of Air[]Space Acoustics. As a joint venture with DHW Architects, J&J Construction, and Drynamic Studio + Air[]Space Acoustics, this installation proudly salutes the ingenuity and collaborative, design+build abilities of our local enterprises.
